Diagnoses #4,785-4,793
Okay, so my diagnoses don't number in the thousands, or even the hundreds, but I do have nine new ones that make it feel like that many. I had allergy testing done on Thursday, and, just in time for Valentine's Day, I found out that I am highly allergic to grass, ragweed, dust, wheat, corn, cane sugar, and yeast; and that I am only mildly allergic to milk and eggs. Now I get to add allergy shots and allergy drops to my already extensive pharmaceutical repertoire, although my doctor says that I should feel significantly better if I just avoid all those things altogether. And this was not even an extensive panel that they did on me; there are still several other foods that I could be allergic to that I haven't been tested for yet. (I figured I could only handle so much shock at one time. I'll wait a few months before doing any more testing.)
Meanwhile, my ATP level is running back down at 50%, when it was up to 70% a few months ago.
Anyone want to volunteer to be my personal chef, or my medication manager, or my massage therapist?

Wish I lived next door and i would do it. Heather has found great results in staying off of glutton. Makes eating so challenging but she is doing it. I wish food were not such a part of our lives.
I am praying that the allergy shots will help. I took shots for 10 years.I don't need them anymore. I love you.
Off the top of my head...today you should consider cooking Red Beans and Rice (good Louisiana cuisine), steak and mashed potatoes, or a big pot of chili. I'll send you my latest recipe...it's a good one...and there is no wheat, corn, eggs, milk, cane sugar, yeast or mold, dust or grass in the recipe!
It sounds like a good steady diet of steak, chicken, potatoes, rice and veggies! Well, that's pretty much me. Let's share recipes. It gets horribly hard, I know.
Oh Elisabeth, that stinks. :(
I'd bring you a meal once a week of we lived closer. :)
May God give you strength, peace, and grace to deal with these new ones, Elisabeth. I'm praying for you guys.
Hi Elisabeth,
You don't know me, but I'm a childhood friend of your husband's.
My wife Aubrey is also gluten-intolerant, so our house is GF and we're becoming accomplished GF cooks.
I am sorry to hear that you are allergic also to corn and cane sugar; corn is also a very commonplace ingredient, maybe even moreso than wheat! But maybe my wife and you could get in touch (if you want) and you could talk GF stuff.
Grace and peace,
ALAN
