Rebecca's Christmas wish list

Not that I want the focus of Christmas to be on receiving gifts, or that gifts are expected from anyone; but for those who like to shop early (in the order in which I thought of them):

1. play doctor's kit (she has carried her medicine, a.k.a. oral syringe, with her everywhere for months) (SER/SJR)
2. jigsaw puzzles (large pieces; animal pictures are preferred over cartoon characters) (SJR, CMR, MDR)
3. Hymns for a Kid's Heart, Vols. 1 &2 (CD plus hymnal with stories about hymns and authors/composers) (vol. 2 SER/ESR) (Vol. 1 AJR/RHR)
4. Christmas Hymns for a Kid's Heart (SER/ESR)
5. Passion Hymns for a Kid's Heart (birthday will be six days after Easter next year, so we could potentially make it an early birthday present instead)
6. Books of almost any kind are always welcome.... (SEB, SJR)
7. A Memory card game (used is fine) (ERB)
8. a stuffed panda bear (I don't think she really needs this, but it is something she has asked for) (CMR)
9. water flutes (a bathtub toy: there are five plastic tubes that you can fill to various pre-marked levels to make different pitches when you blow into them) (SJR )

stocking stuffers:
-new washable crayons (the larger size) (CMR)
-Nativity stickers and/or coloring book (SJR)
-sidewalk chalk
-paints (probably watercolor, as opposed to finger paints...she doesn't like getting her hands messy)
-cookie cutters (ESR and SEB)

bigger-ticket items (Mommy and Daddy are looking for these things used, in good condition):
-child-sized table and chairs (preferably solid wood)
-tricycle (maybe the kind that has the handle for the parent?)
-a larger rocking horse (she's outgrowing the one she has now)

Suggestions are welcome....

Can't think of any clothes or shoes she needs, unless it's big-girl panties, but she's not quite ready for those yet...I'm dreaming of a diaper-free Christmas....

Hi Elisabeth! I just wanted to say howdy, and that I'm trying to do a better job of keeping up with what's going on in my friends' lives by reading their blogs. I found a link to yours in an OLD e-mail, but I'm glad to find that it is still active! I hope you're well! Love, Heather Maresh
