Rodeo fun

Yesterday we gave Rebecca an early birthday present: her first trip to the Houston Rodeo! She loved it and has talking about the "ee-o" ever since, usually paired with the word "fun."





The first exhibit we went to was the exotic animals. Here we are holding a joey. Isn't he cute?


Now we are petting a friendly python. We had to tell Rebecca to just pet and not squeeze him.



Here is Rebecca talking to the zebra in the petting zoo. We have other pictures of her actually petting the animals, but this one best captures her joyful countenance.

The pony ride was probably Rebecca's favorite event. She giggled the whole time, and when the pony stopped and I told her it was time to get off, she started crying. There were also camel rides, but she missed the minimum age requirement by a month.

Here we are on Rebecca's first roller coaster ride. She was a little uncertain at first when we first got in and she had to sit next to me instead of on my lap. I told her once the ride started, it would be fun. She kept smiling and saying "fun" while we were moving, and then as soon as we stopped, she said, "Again!"

I think I see a trip to Six Flags in our future this summer!
